Now, Snotty, let's keep an open mind about Man/Boy love. I mean seriously, some people just have the urge to put their throbbing member into a supple young man's rear. It's only natural. If people are born that way, then how can we criticize them. I mean it's not like you believe that there is a transcendant source of morality from which you could make positive or negative moral judgements? Or do you? If you do, then where do they come from? Are you God? If you are God and someone disagrees with you does that make them God? Personally, I think that human race is a stain on the universe and deserves to go extinct. Therefore, I'm glad that the pope's actions did not help to quell the spread of AIDS and that George Bush is killing thousands of innocent Iraqis. That way we will be extinct sooner, and sweet mother Gaia can heal herself. It's only natural. I better stop judging people, because everything that just happens in the universe is completely good, or completely bad. However, I have no way of knowing, so I'll just guess that things that physically please me must be good. However, then I'll die of lung cancer, diabetes, syphilis, and AIDS. So then, I'll avoid everything that might cause my death and live a joyless existence. Either that, or I'll just kill myself, because really I'm only marking time until death. Prove me wrong hotshot, because morality is faith, and by criticizing something you are making a moral statement. When you make a moral statement you are saying what you believe.

Either the faith of humans in a physical reality, which they believe is meaningful, or at very least worthwhile, or the faith of humans in something that transcends that reality. Either way, "reason" in a constructed moral universe can only function according to the constructed laws of that universe. Therefore, if you choose to believe that poor people are worth lifting out of poverty, you are taking that step in faith--a faith that the physical universe is a place in which people deserve "fairness" and "health." How is this any rationally different (each given your own assumptions of right and wrong) from the pope suggesting that in this universe, procreation is an ultimate good, and anything that might prohibit that is evil.
